Municipal Emergency Coordinator

Proposals are being accepted for a Municipal Emergency Coordinator (MEC), who will perform the following duties:

1. Coordinate the Emergency Preparedness Committee 
2. Recruit and support individuals for Emergency Preparedness Committee, Emergency Response Control Group, and Emergency Operations Centre 
3. Ensure preparation and testing of Emergency Preparedness Program 
4. Manage the Emergency Operations Centre 
5. Coordinate the municipal emergency operation 
6. Liase with Manitoba Emergency Organization

The MEC will benefit by good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

This individual must be self-motivated and comfortable reporting to and working with boards and provincial representatives. Details of contract remuneration to be negotiated. Registrations, meals & mileage allowance while attending any Emergency Measures Organization conference or workshop.
